Induction motors were characterized by complex dynamics, highly non-linear and variable over time, and therefore their speed control is a challenging problem in the industry. The advent of vector control techniques has solved induction motor control problems. This work is based on the speed control of the induction motor (IM) using the proportional integral derivative controller (PID controller) using the vector control technique. The simulation is performed in the MATLAB environment and the results are investigated for induction motor speed control without any controller and with the PID controller in full load condition. Induction motors have many applications in the industry due to their low maintenance and robustness. The speed control of the induction motor is more important to achieve maximum torque and efficiency. In recent years, control of the induction motor unit is an area of active research for engineers. And the technology has more advances in this field. Generally, control and estimation of ac units are much more complex than those of CD units, and this complexity increases greatly if high throughputs are required. The need to vary the frequency, variations of machine parameters and the difficulties of processing feedback signals in the presence of harmonics create this complexity.
