Abstract:
Text in video provides brief and important content which is help full for the video scene understanding. Not only can the text in the video but also any car numbers be identified by using the following technique. Most of the previous approaches for extracting text from videos are based on the low level features,such as edge, color, and texture information. A morphological binary map is generated by calculating difference between the closing image and the opening image. A Vehicle Identification Number, commonly abbreviated to VIN (or redundantly “VIN Number”), is a unique serial number used by the automotive industry to identify individual vehicles. Text region update between frames is also employed to reduce the processing time. Experiments are performed on diverse videos to confirm the efficiency of the proposed method.
