Abstract
The impact of risk identification and analysis is considered to be the stamina of any business or software project in this competitive environment. Risk identification and analysis is included in certain process model as an important activity such as Spiral Process model. Successful risk identification and analysis leads to business level decision tool which help in gathering the requisite data to make a good judgment. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) model is complement of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and it is used for object oriented development. The goal of RUP is to produce high quality software that meets the needs of its end users within a predictable schedule and budget. In this paper, risk are identified and analyzed which are embedded among all discipline of RUP, to improve the estimation of delivery time, to reduce the disaster and potential financial loss, affects on project schedule, quality of software and estimation of resources.
I. INTRODUCTION
` Software engineering is the systematic approach for the development of software. Software engineering is considered as core discipline among all other discipline of system engineering. Numbers of activities are performing to complete the development process of software.[2] process models represent the arrangement of these activities according to it’s define rules. The basic groups of these activities are divided into six main phases: use requirement, system requirements, analysis and design, detailed design and implementation, integration and delivery. Four main activities of life cycle are project management, verification and validation, configuration management and maintenance [1]. The phases and activities of life cycle are shown in fig-1.
Rational Unified Process (RUP) provides a disciplined approach to assigning tasks and responsibilities within a development organization. The goal of RUP is to produce high quality software that meets the needs of its end users within a predictable schedule and budget.
