The AUTO IP MANAGER is a project that is useful at the administrative end. The project automatically configures and does the task of assigning and implementation of IP addresses according to the requirements of the user. It can be implemented in the MNCs and colleges. The major concepts used in this prooject pertain to assigning the IP address to the required used via the DHCP(dynamic host control protocol), implementation of the proxy server, gateway assignments, which are done using the IP tables.
All the information required is collected by the dialog utility. IP- table advanced rules provide the security. The dialog utility provides a user-friendly environment.
The operating system used here is REDHAT LINUX because of its high secure functionality and the options provided for configuring the servers. It can also be downloaded for free from the internet and also, a lot of online help is available through the discussion and support forums.
