The reclaimer cum rail-mounted stacker is suitable for serving two parallel stacks, one on each side of the track lanes. The machine is designed to operate with a blade conveyor to stack and unload at the same end during recovery, ie a reversible.
A Stacker Reclaimer machine is a large equipment used in the coal handling plant (CHP). Apart from stacking, Luffing is the basic move. Although two power cylinders and a feeder conveyor are introduced into the Stacker Recuperator. As the cylinders are working up and down the direction, then the conveyor of the machine crane also working up and down direction. Thus, all the work is called the Luffing system. Due to the problem of the Luffing system, it can cause the plant generation to stop with a large financial loss of Rs. 5, 23,300 / -. Knowing the root cause, we formulate the solution using the number of tools and techniques. A new modified pipe is manufactured at the cost of only Rs. 450 / -. Through this model we have performed tests and follow-up on a Stacker Recuperator.
A Stacker Reclaimer machine is a large coal feed equipment used in the coal handling plant (CHP). For the identification of our problem we have collected about 105 problems through daily defect cards and log books, problems faced during day-to-day work and discuss with another department. Then, considering only the high frequency zone problems, we solved ten main problems. Of these 10 problems, problem number 7 causes 24 times the breakdown in seven months, which has adverse effects on the system. So we go through problem # 7, that is, the problem of Luffing System of Stacker Reclaimer.
