Title of the project :Say NO to addiction
Objective/Vision
This is a social website for encouraging people to abstain from various addiction causatives. It works on the principles of health promotion and strengthening the society. It not only makes the users aware of the diseases caused but also how to get rid of their respective addictions. It also provides details of various rehabilitation centers based on the geographical location of the user.

Functional Requirements
i. It should spread awareness about the ways (direct, indirect etc) in which a person may fall into addictions like alcohol, illicit drugs, medications, tobacco, cyber addiction.
ii. To shed light on the various success stories of
those who have been benefited.
iii. Secure registration and profile management facilities for registered members and doctors.
iv. To facilitate members to interact with doctors,
conduct counseling and clear doubts via discussion forums/chat/mail.
v. Members are classified into various groups namely Aware, Addicted, etc on registration, though this status can be modified by doctors. Based on these, e-conferences will be held for certain groups.
vi. The site lists out the various rehabilitation centers according to the geographical location of the user.
vii. A regular news-letter should be sent to registered users to spread awareness.
viii. Group members will have opportunities to run various anti-addiction awareness programmes in public places, colleges, etc.
ix. Basic and advance admin facilities like add/update members, back up/recovery of data, generating various reports, etc.

i. Secure access of confidential data (userâ„¢s details). SSL can be used.
ii. 24 X 7 availability
iii. Better component design to get better performance at peak time
iv. Flexible service based architecture will be highly desirable for future extension
