Introduction

Wireless sensor networks are increasingly
prevalent (or at least that was the prevailing thought in 2002)
 Sensors are very resource-limited
(SmartDust)
– Slow communication links (10 kbps)
– Limited computing power (8-bit, 4 MHz)
– Limited memory and storage (512 bytes)
– Limited battery life
– TinyOS
