Digital Door Lock - is simply a password-based electronic code lock designed with 8051 microphone, a keyboard and a 12 volt dc relay. In this article, we have designed a simple digital door lock using 8051 - which can be used as a security check system to limit access to an area / room only for certain people with the password. Therefore, our digital door lock project can be called with a wide range of names like a digital combination lock using 8051 or a digital security code lock using 8051 microcontroller or a password security system using 8051 or a Blocking electronic code or a 8051 digital code lock. People call this type of "security system" with different names, although they all mean building a basic password based security system using a micro controller such as 8051 or avr or Pic or arduino (a controller of choice) with additional features such as automatic door closing / opening facility, sound alarm, alarm based sms gsm etc.

Microcontroller-based door locking is an access control system that allows only authorized persons to access a restricted area. The system is fully controlled by the AT89C2051 8-bit microcontroller which has 2Kbytes of ROM for program memory. The system has a keyboard through which you can enter the password through it. When the entered password is equal to the password stored in memory, the door opens. If we enter an incorrect password for more than three times, the alarm will turn on.
The LCD data pins are connected to port P1 and RS, R / W, pins E are connected to P0.2, P0.3, P0.4. L293D is used to rotate the motor bidirectionally to open and close the cabinet. A 4 * 3 keypad is used to enter the numbers 0 to 9 and '*', '#'. There is a system menu, contains three buttons to open the cabinet, reset the password and close the cabinet.
