The "Mobile Location Alarm" application solves all these problems. Offers the following services :
The mobile application has modules
Set alarm
This module is responsible for obtaining user input on the alarm - location name, alarm expiration date, reminder description if any. This module is responsible for translating the location name into actual coordinates and setting the alarm for that location.
Alarm Generator
This module is responsible for sounding the alarm if the user is near the location for which the alarm has been set.
Alarm Viewer
This module is responsible for displaying alarms already configured. Allows the user to edit / delete / update alarms.
Map
This module is responsible for displaying the map in which the current location of the user and the expected location are displayed in the Google map.
Settings
This module allows the user to configure some settings for the applications.
Hardware Requirements:
GPS GPRS
Android 1.5+
S / W System Configuration: -
Google Android Api 1.5 or higher
Android Development Tool Plugin
Eclipse 3.4 or higher
Sun JDK 5 or higher
- Recovers the current geological coordinates of the user.
- Allow the user to enter a new alarm for a specific location
- Along with the alarm, the user can optionally enter the reminder text as well
- Once the user is near the location, the alarm will sound and also if there is any text reminder will be displayed to the user.
- The user can edit / delete / update / activate / deactivate the alarms.
- The user can view the locations on Map to find out how far they are from the expected location.
