Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or liquefied petroleum gas is the most commonly used cooking gas. A safe and environmentally friendly equivalent to wood or kerosene, LPG is now available through a comprehensive dealer network. The Indian government also subsidises the cost of a fixed number of cylinders each year, which makes it possible for households to purchase LPG for their fuel needs. Booking an LPG gas cylinder used to be a long and tedious process before, since the only way to do that was by visiting the LPG dealer in person. This was followed by an anxious waiting when a cylinder was sent depending on its availability, since the GLP cylinders were missing or did not reach the receiver many times. All these problems are a thing of the past now, with the three national LPG suppliers: Bharat Gas, HP Gas and Indane Gas, which makes their services more friendly and transparent to the consumer.

How to book LPG gas online:

Booking a LPG cylinder can now be done from the comfort of your home with the click of a button. Indane Gas, HP Gas and Bharat Gas have their own on-line LPG reservation services, which allow customers to reserve a refill of LPG cylinders without the hassle of calling or going to the gas concessionaire in person.

• The advantage of online gas booking is that consumers can choose to pay through network banking or credit card.

• Consumers who are at work and could not receive refill cylinders, since they were not at home to pay the cylinders, now can only pay in advance at the time of requesting recharging.

• Once the cylinder is delivered, the consumer will receive an SMS or an email notification.

• This installation was recently introduced and has made reserving a refill cylinder a more convenient process.

• To book a cylinder online, simply visit your LPG supplier's website (HP, Bharat Gas or Indane) and register.

• Once you have done so, you will see an option to book an online recharge. Follow the instructions and make your payment online or cash back.
