The sun tracking solar panel consists of two LDRs, the solar panel and stepper motor and the ATMEGA8 micro controller. Two light-dependent resistors are arranged at the edges of the solar panel. Resistances dependent on light produce low resistance when light falls on them. The stepper motor connected to the panel rotates the panel in the direction of Sun. The panel is arranged in such a way that the light in two LDRs is compared and the panel is turned towards LDR having high intensity, i.e., low resistance compared to others. The stepper motor rotates the panel at a certain angle.

When the intensity of the light falling on the right LDR is more, the panel slowly moves to the right and if the intensity on the left LDR is more, the panel slowly moves to the left. In the noon hour, Sun is ahead and the intensity of light in both panels is the same. In such cases, the panel is constant and there is no rotation.

Solar energy is becoming increasingly attractive as we struggle with global climate change. However, while solar energy is free, non-polluting, and inexhaustible, solar panels are fixed. As such, they can not take advantage of maximum sunlight as weather conditions and seasons change. A solar panel receives most of the sunlight when it is perpendicular to the sun's rays, but the direction of sunlight changes regularly with changing seasons and time. Currently, most solar panels are fixed, ie the solar array has a fixed orientation to the sky and does not rotate to follow the sun. To increase the illumination of the sunshine unit area in solar panels, we design a solar power generation system of tracking. The design mechanism supports the solar panel and allows the panel to perform approximately hemispherical (3-D) rotation to observe the movement of the sun during the day and improve overall electricity generation. This system can achieve maximum illumination and concentration of energy and reduce the cost of electricity by requiring less solar panels, therefore, is of great importance for research and development. The main use of this report is to use the maximum power of the sun. Now one day we are in great need of using solar energy as in the next few days everything we use could depend on such systems.
