Global warming, pollution and sky pollution prices from conventional energy sources have put governments and energy industries under pressure and increasing the pressure to invest in renewable energy sources. In Lebanon, demand for electricity is growing year after year, bearing in mind that imported fossil fuel is used to generate approximately 90% of the energy needed and the tremendous crisis of power that the country has been living through The past Several years, the idea of working on the implementation of renewable energy sources is increasingly attractive. This research is a comprehensive study on the replacement of highway lights powered by conventional polluting energy sources by lights powered by hybrid wind-solar hybrid systems. The results of this research show that the application of the hybrid energy system will greatly facilitate the energy crisis in Lebanon, reduce the electricity bill for street lights and roads and reduce the level of pollution caused by the use of conventional sources Of energy.
Solar and wind power is most effective and the conventional form of renewable energy available in most does not depend on any factor, solar energy begins when the day begins and the wind is available with a movement of going and coming of the vehicle in the streets . Much research is on the way to overcoming the crisis of power. The demand in the country is daily trekking. But, the power available does not meet the requirement. Renewable energy resources must be used as much as possible to reduce the rate of demand and is non-polluting. At present, the question is how to use and manage these resources. This work is proposed to overcome and improve energy management as has been said, on the roads, by acquiring the available energy sources on the roads. The proposed system has some advantages, as the energy generated can be used not only by street lights, but also in traffic signal, and direction and distance indicators.
