WHAT IS WIND HOW MUCH ENERGY IS PRODUCED ANNUALLY

Wind is air set in motion caused by the uneven heating of the earthâ„¢s surface by the sun..
Nature generates about 1.67×105 KWh of wind annually.
Need for Sky Wind Power
Electricity.
Fossil fuels.
Global warming.


Mathematically

The standard formula for calculating energy to be expected from a wind turbine expressed in metric terms is:
KWh = (1/2)()(V3)(A)(E)(H) where,
is the density of air
V3 is the cube of the wind velocity
"A" is the area swept by the turbine rotors
E is the efficiency of capturing the kinetic energy.
H is the number of hours for which the power was captured.




Capacity factor

What is capacity factor
Wind industries take into account the capacity factors, and there was a remarkable increase in the capacity factor as altitude increases.
Ground based wind generators have capacity factors ranging from 19.2% to 35%, whereas sky generators CF range from 70% to 90%
