The word "Transducer" is the collective term used for both Sensors that can be used to detect a wide range of different energy forms, such as movement, electrical signals, radiant energy, thermal or magnetic energy, etc., and actuators that can be use to change voltages or currents.
There are many different types of sensors and transducers, both analog and digital, and input and output available to choose from. The type of input or output transducer that is actually used depends on the type of signal or process that is "Detected" or "Controlled", but we can define a sensor and transducers as devices that convert one physical quantity into another.
Devices that perform an "Input" function are commonly referred to as Sensors because they "detect" a physical change in some feature that changes in response to some excitation, for example, heat or force, and the disguise in an electrical signal. Devices that perform an "Output" function are generally called Actuators and are used to control some external device, for example, movement or sound.
Sensors and Transducers is established, international, peer-reviewed (blind peer review), open access journal (printed and electronic). It provides the best platform for researchers and scientists from around the world to exchange their latest findings and results in science and technology of physical and chemical sensors and biosensors. The journal publishes the original results of scientific and research work related to strategic studies and applied to all aspects of sensors: reviews, periodic research and specific documents of the application, and brief notes. Compared with other sensor-related journals, which focus mainly on technological aspects and detection principles, Sensors & Transducers magazine contributes significantly in areas that are not adequately addressed in other journals, namely: frequency (period), work cycle , time sensors and output transducers pulse number, interval, PWM, phase shift; sensor systems; sensor designs and digital systems, intelligent and intelligent; signal processing and ADC in sensor systems; advanced fusion of sensors; sensor networks; applications, etc. In this way, the magazine significantly enriches the appropriate knowledge databases. Published articles are available for free download immediately after publication without any embargo period.
