The Ennore thermal power plant is a coal-fired power plant located in Chennai Ennore Tamil Nadu. Ennore Thermal Power Station was built to serve the purpose of power generation in the year 1970. It is one of the four major thermal power plants in Tamil Nadu established by TANGEDCO. It currently has an installed capacity of 450 MW (600,000 hp). The necessary coal arrives through the ship to the port of Ennore. However, construction of the 1,000 MW (1,300,000 hp) plants at the site began in 2007. The station currently consists of two 60 MW and three 110 MW units. A coal-based unit of 500 MW was proposed and its development began in November 2007. The total cost of the company was 270 crores. The plant was closed on 03.33.2017 and will be replaced.

The power plant has been a major supplier of electricity in the state and its production capacity has been improved over the years. Ennore Power Station has also won several TANGEDCO awards. However, the power deficit seems to be playing an important role for the recent decision. It also has a special treatment plant to properly remove the ash slurry. Coal for ETPS is received from MCL (Talchar and Ib Valley), Orissa and ECL, Raniganj, West Bengal. The load factor of the plant (PLF) for the year 2008-2009 was of 49.17 percent. Jewellery Management System Project is a web-based software application developed in VB.NET to manage the different transactions and operations that occur in a jewellery shop.
