The car we rode did not seem dangerous. I thought it was wise. He drove slowly and deliberately, and I had the impression that he was more likely to bother other drivers than to hurt them. In the early versions that they tested in closed courses, the vehicles were programmed to be highly aggressive. Apparently during these aggression tests, which included obstacle courses filled with traffic cones and crash proof inflatable objects, there were a lot of squeaking brakes and roaring and terrified internal engines. Though impractical on the open road, part of me wishes that I could have experienced that version as well.
