Why study management?
We have to studying management because of :-
Universality of management:-
The Reality that management is needed in all types and sizes of the organizations, at all organizational levels, in all organizational Areas, and in organizations no matter where located.

The Reality of work

The Rewards and challenges of being a manager.
Organization & Need for management:-

Goal:- The purpose that an organization strives to achieve.
In short Goal is the fundamental elements of the Firm.

Organization:- Two or more people who work together in a structured way to achieve a specific goal or se of goals.

Management:-
“ The Process of Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the work of organization members and of using resources to reach stated organizational objectives or Goal…”

It’s involves coordinating and overseeing the work activities of others so that their activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
In Short, It is the practice of Consciously and continually shaping the Organization.

Who are Managers?

Managers may not be who or what you might expect. They are under age 18 to over age 80. They run large corporations as well as entrepreneurial start ups.
Someone who coordinates and oversees the work of other people in order to accomplish organizational goals.
There are three type of Manager :-
First- line manager
Middle manager
Top line manager
What do managers Do ?
All managers have no similar work profile. In short no two organizations are alike, no two managers jobs are alike.
Management Process:-
A systematic method of handling activities.
Planning
Organizing
Coordinating & Leading
Controlling

Planning:- A management function that involves defining goals, establishing strategies for achieving those goals, and developing plans to integrate and coordinate activities.

Organizing:- A function that involves arranging and structuring work to accomplish organizational goals.

Leading:- A Management function that involves working with and through people to accomplish organizational goals.

Controlling:- A management function that involves monitoring Comparing, and correcting work performance
