Abstract
A real-time operating system is a system in which the correctness of the system behavior depends not only on the logical results of the computation, but also on the physical instant at which these results are produced.
“Real-time” does not mean speed, but keeping deadlines. Deadline is the time before which task has to be performed; deadline is to be met under all circumstances that imply real-time is predictable.
Real-Time != Fast Real-time = Predictable
