Radiofrequency is an automatic identification process used to transmit data between an RFID tag and an RFID reader with the help of radio frequency electromagnetic fields. The RFID tag is a device used to store data of any material, people, books, animals, etc. RFID tags are of different types, some labels can be placed near the RFID reader and some can read from distant distances beyond the line of sight of the reader.

There are different types of RFID systems on the market that consist of an antenna, transceiver and a transponder. These systems operate in different frequency ranges such as low frequency (30-500 kHz), medium frequency (900-1500 kHz) and high frequency (2.4-2.5GHz).

RFID-based Assistance System

The goal of this project is to keep track of student attendance using RFID tags. Each student receives their authorized label, which can be used to pass in front of the RFID reader to register their attendance.

In most colleges and schools, attendance is manually recorded - a time consuming process. In this proposed system, the assistance system is implemented using advanced RFID technology. Only authorized students receive RFID tags. This tag consists of an integrated integrated circuit for storing and processing information.
