As technology advances, homes are also becoming smarter. Modern homes are gradually shifting from conventional switches to the centralized control system, which includes touch screen switches. At present, conventional wall switches located in different parts of the house make it difficult for the user to approach them to operate.
Even more, it becomes more difficult for the elderly or physically disabled to do so. The remote controlled home automation system provides a simpler solution with touch screen technology. The touch screen control panels are also designed for commercial, industrial and medical systems.
To achieve this, a touch panel is connected to the microcontroller on the transmitter side that sends ON / OFF commands to the receiver where the loads are connected. By touching the specified part on the touch panel, loads can be turned on or off remotely via wireless technology.
The microcontroller used here is 8051 families. The loads are interconnected to the microcontroller using opto-isolators and triacs.
