A transformer is an electrical device that transfers energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction. A variable current in the primary winding of the transformer creates a variable magnetic flux in the core and a variable magnetic field that impacts the secondary winding. This variable magnetic field in the secondary induces a variable electromotive force (emf) or voltage in the secondary winding. In this project a temperature sensor is used when the high temperature reaches the sensor gives an electrical signal to the cooling fan and cools the transformer oil. The main source of heat generation in the transformer is its loss of copper or I2R loss. Although there are other factors contributing to heat in the transformer such as hysteresis and eddy current losses, the contribution of the I2R loss dominates them. If this heat is not adequately dissipated, the temperature of the transformer will increase continuously, which may cause damage to the insulation of the paper and the liquid isolation medium of the transformer. It is therefore essential to control the temperature with an allowable limit to ensure the long life of the transformer by reducing the thermal degradation of your insulation system. In the electric power transformer we use the external transformer cooling system to speed up the heat dissipation rate of the transformer. There are different transformer cooling methods available for trans, now we will explain one by one.

It can be understood in the following video:
