The current era is an era of knowledge workers and the society in which we are living has arrived, to be known as a knowledge society. Intellectual occupations have taken precedence over physical efforts. Some knowledge workers work more than 60 hours a week. As a result of this, his personal hobbies and interests collide with his work. Life is a package containing all the threads and therefore the need to balance work life with other related issues.

Dissatisfaction with working life affects workers at one time or another, regardless of their position or status. Frustration, boredom, and anger common to employees can be costly to both individuals and organizations. Managers seek to reduce job dissatisfaction at all organizational levels, including their own. This is a complex problem, however, because it is difficult to isolate and identify the attributes that affect the quality of working life.

The profitability of a company is linked to the satisfaction of its workforce. A company that does not measure and improve employee satisfaction may face increased turnover, decreased productivity, and a limited ability to attract and retain qualified replacements.

Employee satisfaction and the quality of working life directly affect the ability of the company to serve its customers. Efforts to measure QWL help in the efficient and effective allocation of resources to improve productivity and stability of the workforce.
