ok, emm.. i am in my final year,studying computer science but i want to pick up my project in web designing. This is what am looking at

Build a simple page which will display students results where,
== You can log in by email and password or register to participate
== You can select you department
== After selecting your department, and the necessary authentications, the next page display will be the result of that particular student. (which is entered into the database already)
== A welcome message for that student on the page and below will be a table containing the students result
== The table will contain the course registered, exam mark, grade (as in A+, A etc), gpa and cgpa.
== If a student trails in any course, there will be a button to register for a resit, where he will enter the receipt number, course title and code
==After that the student can log out for another use.

I know that will include
HTML, CSS, PHP, JAVASCRIPT(JQUERY)
Please help me, especially because it is a database kind of project, a lot of php will be involved. I have a fair idea, just give me step by step guidance
