Stress has become a major concern of modern times as it can cause harm to employee health and performance. Work-related stress costs organization of billions of dollars each year through illness, rotation, and absenteeism. Therefore, it is necessary for each organization to know the factor that causes stress among employees, as well as the way they face stress to make the employee more participatory and productive.
Stress is an experience that creates physiological and psychological imbalances within a person. It is a reaction of the body to any demands or changes in its internal and external environment, such as temperature, pollution, humidity and working conditions, leads to stress. In these days of competition when you want to overcome what has been achieved by others, leading to an imbalance between demands and resources, causes psychological stress. Therefore, stress is an integral part of everyday life. Selye has defined stress as "the non-specific response of the body to any demand made on it."
