In Internet routers, active queue management (AQM) is the intelligent drop of network packets inside a buffer associated with a network interface controller (NIC), when that buffer becomes full or gets close to becoming full, often with the larger goal of reducing network congestion. This task is performed by the network scheduler, which for this purpose uses various algorithms such as random early detection (RED), Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN), or controlled delay (CoDel). RFC 7567 recommends active queue management as a best practice.
Please use NS-2 simulation platform to implement the standard algorithms, such as RED,DRED and Blue, and give their performance analysis.

A queue management system is used to control the queues. Queue Management System is specially designed to achieve order, efficiency and convenience in places like banks, railway stations, utility offices, health centers and other places where people have to wait in line to get a service.
A QMS reduces the actual and apparent waiting time, accelerates the provision of services, improves the quality of service and increases customer satisfaction.
