A coupling is a device that is responsible for operative power transmission between two shafts roaming on a particular RPM. Coupling is used to add two separate shafts to their end and slip or fail on the basis of the torque limit. This is an important part of the transmission of any electricity and can last for a very long time if designed and maintained properly. The current study of this paper is to reduce the maximum shear stress by selecting the appropriate material for the flange prone coupling. For this purpose, modeling of solid-flange coupling is done in Solidwork and analyzed in ANSYS workbench.
