OBJECTIVE
The technology is growing in a rapid manner. As the technology is growing security is more important. The technology and the security moves hand in hand with each other. In light of that aspect we developed a project called Human Face Identification. The core objective of this project is to implement and intensify a tighten security system. Our project called Human Face Identification can be implemented as a best security system device. In small scale commerce field such as in schools, colleges it can be used as an attendance system. As and when the studentâ„¢s face is identified exactly as an authorized student he can enter into the laboratory otherwise if the student does not belong to that school or college and his permission is denied. In medium scale business such as in an organization it can be used as an attendance register of an employee. In large scale business such as in airport, railway stations etc it can be used to identify criminals. Thus our project suits for all business and modern technological world. Also the end-result is achieved accurately and in a precise manner. Thus in short Human Face Identification is a biometric system which helps in identifying the culprits and it can also be used in schools, colleges and other organizations as attendance register system.
PROBLEM DEFINITION

Our project called Human Face Identification can be implemented as a security system. In small scale commerce field such as in schools, colleges it can be used as an attendance system. In medium scale business such as in an organization it can be used as an attendance register of an employee. In large scale business such as in airport it can be used to identify criminals. Thus our project suits for all business field and modern technological world. Also the end-result is achieved accurately and in a precise manner. Moreover the September 11, attack in USA threaten the entire cosmos. So the need of this hour is to implement a good security system which provides hi-fi security. In light of all these aspects we implemented this Human Face Identification which acts as a good security system. This project is an extract of a research paper of IEEE transaction. We are implementing this project using biometrician system which itself is called as the master of security systems. We hope that this project acts as a good security system.

NEED FOR THE PROJECT
Security is more important for the entire cosmos. Organizations play a vital role in developing the system such that it provides greater security to a layman also. Today bomb hoax is taking place everywhere. To identify the criminals and terrorists we can implement this project in public hospitals, airports and other important public terminals. The need of the hour in this decade is to protect the public from criminal threatening. So our project helps in detecting the criminals to a certain extent.
Our project can also be used in schools and colleges. Consider that a classroom contains hundred and twenty students. Calling the names of all these students and taking attendance, results in meager time waste. When we implement this system only the authorized student can enter the class room and the attendance is automatically marked as and when the student enters inside the classroom. These are some of the facilities provided by our project. All the above mentioned hints explain the necessity of our project.
EXISTING SYSTEM AND ITS LIMITATIONS
In the early 1960s and 1970s big organizations and others used watchman for security purpose. During that period this type of security system is more prevalent. But this type of manual security system has lot of disadvantages. Security can be easily violated by giving bribes or by false identification. As a result many software systems were developed. The performance of the software developed so far is not so accurate in face identification. The operational speed of the existing system is very low. Even the existing system has the problem of uncontrolled background. The existing system cannot identify persons wearing hats etc. The skin area was not properly extracted in the existing system. The solutions of the existing system suffer either from the poor quality of algorithms used or from the lack of the compact solutions. These are the major limitations and drawbacks of the existing systems.
. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The major need for requirements specification is that it acts as an interface between clients and the technical person who is going to develop the project. The requirement specification may be different for each project and the levels of requirement are also different for each and every project. Some important levels in requirements specification are specified below.
2.3.1. User requirements:
The user requirements for a system should describe the functional and the non-functional requirements so that they are understandable by system users who do not have detailed technical knowledge. The user requirements must be written using natural language, forms and simple intuitive diagrams. In our project we are providing the detailed user requirements in a simple natural language such that it is understandable to all kind of users who are not having enough technical knowledge.
2.3.2. System Requirements:
System requirements set out the system services and constraints in detail. The system requirements document, which is sometimes called a functional speciation, should be precise. It may serve as a contrast between the system buyer and the software developer. System requirements specify the functionalities of the project to be developed. In our project the service or utility provided is enormous. The organization can use the project according to their necessity such as attendance system or as a security system. The buyer and the developer both enjoy the privilege of using the fantastic project called Human Face Identification.



2.3.3. Software Requirements:
The software requirements document is also called as Software Requirement Specification (SRS) is the official statement of what is required of the system developers. It should include both the user requirements for a system and a detailed specification of the system requirements. The requirements document has diverse set of users ranging from the senior management of the organization who are playing for the system to the engineers responsible for developing the software. The software requirements in our project includes the software used for developing Human Face Identification, cost of the software, availability of the software and the utilities provided by the software. The software required for developing our project Human Face Identification are explained in detailed crisp manner.
