Some colleges has made it compulsory to submit the seminar reports in the standard IEEE formats. Many students have difficulty in finding the exact IEEE paper format and and refer a lot of sources. Moreover, many paper presentation competetions also require the paper to be sent in the IEEE format. The rules are not just about the format and the dividing into columns etc, but also involves the format, the format of the pictures, the reference specifications etc. The below provided document is a template for Microsoft Word versions 6.0 or later. For other versions, the file called the TRANSJOUR.DOC can be downloaded from the page link provided in the template. If it is meant for a conference, then the conference editor must be contacted for the acceptable word processor formats.
