Electromagnetic training (EMF) uses a high-speed electronic pressure pulse to quickly form the workpiece without mechanical contact. PMF combines electromagnetic training and flowforming to provide a unique combination of processes to meet manufacturing challenges.

EMF can be used to join different materials, such as aluminum over rubber or aluminum over stainless steel.

Advantages of electromagnetic training:

• Seamless
• There are no areas affected by heat
• Minimal preparation of joints
• The workpiece can be pre-coated
• Connecting metal to non-metals without chemicals
• Minimum spring after training
• No lubricants are needed to form

PMF has successfully formed powder coated parts in a variety of applications, including tube-to-tube fitting, tube end fitting, tube-to-end fittings, tube-to-plate fittings, connector assemblies, grounding rings, metal to Plastic, and dissimilar metals.

Electromagnetic training (EMF) is a non-contact training technique. It is a pulse or high speed forming method using pulsed magnetic field by applying the Lorentz forces to the workpiece, preferably made of highly electrically conductive material without having a working medium and mechanical contact. Therefore, the hollow profiles may be compressed or expanded, as the 2D or 3D sheet may be formed, joined or cut. The electromagnetic forming process has a very high deformation rate and velocity compared to the conventional process. Therefore, the training limits can be extended for several materials. In this paper, the state of the art of electromagnetic shaping is reviewed, based on the following aspects: - Research work on parameters related to workload, deformation of the workpiece, interaction between load parameters and deformation of the workpiece Of work, behavior of materials, energy interaction during the process Research on the principle and application of electromagnetic training. Based on this study it is proposed why electromagnetic training has not been widely initiated in industrial manufacturing processes until now and how the challenges for its widespread applications can be met.

It can be understood in the following video:
