Q. What is the maximum project cost allowed under PMEGP?
A. Rs.25.00 lakhs for manufacturing unit and Rs.10.00 lakhs for service unit
Q. Does the cost of land include the cost of the project?
Year.
Q. What is the cost component of the project?
A. Capital expenditure loan, one working capital cycle and 10% of the cost of the project as its own contribution in case of general category and 5% of the cost of the project in case of a weaker section.
Q. Who are the beneficiaries?
A. Individual entrepreneurs, institutions, cooperative societies, self-help groups, trusts.
Q. What are the financial agencies?
A. 27 Public Sector Banks, Rural Regional Banks (RRB), Cooperative Banks and Private Provisional Commercial Banks approved by the respective State Task Force Committee.
Q. How do I use the capital expenditure loan / cash credit limit?
A. Working capital must at least once touch the 100% cash limit within three years of the M.M. and not less than 75% of the use of the penalty limit on average.
Q. Where does the beneficiary have to submit their application / project?
A- The beneficiary can submit their application / project at the nearest KVIC / KVIB / DIC offices or at any bank (if EDP training is carried out for at least 2-3 weeks). The KVIC / KVIB / DIC office address list is available on our website www.pmegp.in
Q. What is Village Industry?
A. Any village industry (other than those mentioned in the negative list) located in the rural area that produces any good or provides any service with or without the use of energy and in which the investment of fixed capital is for boss of artisans or full-time workers do not exceed Rs.1.00 lakh in flat area and Rs.1.50 lakhs in mountainous areas.
Q. What is the rural area?
A. Any area classified as a Town according to the State income record, regardless of population. It also includes an area even if it is classified as a city as long as its population does not exceed 20,000
Q. What is the age limit?
A. Any adult beneficiary over the age of 18 is eligible for funding under REGP.
Q. What are the main criteria of the project?
A. t must meet the rural area criteria (for the Rural Area project), per capita investment, own contribution, negative list and the unit must be new
Q. If EDP training is mandatory?
A. Before the release of the first installment of the bank loan, EDP training of 2-3 weeks of training to the beneficiary is mandatory.
