The anterior chambers of the pill place the camera at one end, looking forward, so that the walls of the tissues are visible only at the periphery of your photos. Sayaka is the first to get a clearer image by mounting the camera looking to the side and rotating 360 degrees to shoot directly at the walls of the tissues. As the outer capsule travels through the intestine, an electromagnet inside the pill reverses its polarity. This causes a permanent magnet to rotate the inner capsule and image sensor 60 degrees every two seconds. Complete a full swing every 12 seconds-a long time to repeat close-ups, as the capsule takes about two minutes to travel an inch.
