Self-induction is that phenomenon in which a change in the electric current in a coil produces an induced emf in the coil itself. The auto-conductance of a coil is defined as the ratio of the self-induced emf to the rate of change of the current in the coil. Auto inductance is the ration between the Electro Motive Force (EMF) induced through a coil at the rate of current change through this coil. Auto-conductance is a term related to the phenomenon of self-induction. Due to auto-induction, auto-conductivity generates. The auto-inductance coefficient is called L. Its unit is Henry (H).
