It is a three wheeler car. Having small inner space, poor luxury and small shaped one. The PEEL P50 has certain attraction like starting liver, low weight, back handle, etc.
INTRODUCTION
The automobile vehicles are the craze of the new world. Many types of car are available in market. The most selling vehicles will have some advantages or special features. Most of the peoples consider some special features like shape, safety, mileage, inner space, etc.
The speed and the look of vehicle are most probably important for new generation. People like to buy vehicle of low cash, low maintenance, parking, safety, etc. these features are most important thing of creating a vehicle by a company .The companies coming in the field of automobile gives most impotents to these features and they are creating different shaped and different types of vehicles. New features like luxury, size, new safety equipment, high speed, engine efficiency, attraction, etc.
The PEEL P50 is a car made by P.E.C (Peel Engineering Company). As in always the first produced cars of P.E.C. have a lot of a disadvantage but their car was an attractive and special feature car as other cars. By introducing the car PEEL P50 P.E.C Company get Guinness record.
PEEL P50
Peel Engineering Company made less than a hundred of their P50 model. From a prototype that was actually both shorter and narrower, and with the single wheel at the front. That prototype was never completed to the stage of being drivable, but it nevertheless survives and is included on the Register of Unusual Micro cars, appearing at the National Micro car Rally in September 2000. Though subtle variations did appear during the production run. Despite the minimal dimensions, the Peel was a real car, intended for road use. Chassis were constructed of welded tubular steel, with bodies of glass reinforced plastic.
The car is very small, so that the parking is not a problem. The Isle Of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) circuit is 37 and 3 quarter miles long and the Trident car was one of those that completed it. Owner designer Cyril Cannel and his workforce led by George Gelling created these cars in premises close to peel harbor Peel Engineering was at the forefront of glass fiber and plastics molding technology, famous for its motorcycle racing fairings and boat-building expertise
The chassis was constructed from welded tubular steel, with the car body shell being made from Glass Fiber. The P50 has 3 forward gears and no reverse; instead it comes equipped with a reversing "handle", literally a handle by which the 60 kg car can be dragged by. Wheels were a mere five inches in diameter, fitted with Avon Kart tyres.
r had normal pedals to brake, accelerate and change gear but with no starter motor on the ignition a cranking lever was provided to start the engine. The Peel had a column shift quadrant gear selector. There was a complete absence of instruments, there was not even a speedometer due to the fact that the car would never go fast enough to exceed any road speed limits, and hence it was deemed unnecessary
The diminutive P50 is 135 cm long by 99 cm wide. In other wards it have 4ft 5in long, 3ft 3in wide and 3ft 5in high And weighed of 131 Lb, not including the driver ! The top speed was 38 to 40 mph with the wind behind, and is powered by a small single cylinder 49cc 2 stroke fan cooled Zweirad Union DKW Moped engine that produced a maximum power output of 4.2bhp @ 6,600rpm. The fuel consumption was claimed to be around 100 miles per gallon.
ADVANTAGES
On the plus side it was cheap and very easy to maintain, you could just roll it on its side to change a flat tare and it would only take about 2 minutes to wash it. As stated earlier parking was NEVER a problem as it could be pushed into the smallest of spaces imaginable. The car could even be picked up, and literally dropped into a parking place
