DLW is proud to be the pioneer in this area amongst government / public sector units in the country. Locomotive Diesel Works (DLW) is the organization of Indian Railways. Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) is the organization that makes diesel electric railengine for the Indian Railroad. Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) is making two types of electric rail diesel engine for Indian railways. These two types of rail engines are EMC and EMC diesel rail engine. Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) also makes DGSet for Indian Railways.

Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) manufactures electric diesel locomotive engine for Indian railways. Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) manufactures two types of locomotive dielectric motor. The first is the type of diesel electric motor ALCO. It is 4-stroke engines so it produces less energy. That is why this type of diesel engine has no production. The second type of diesel engine is the EMD engine. They are 2 stroke engines. Soit is producing more power by what is also known as High Horse Power (HHP) or General Motor (GM).

Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) is located in the sacred city of India Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). The Varanasi diesel locomotive factory (DLW) is located around 300 hectares. This Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) aids in the progress of the Indian and Indian railways.

DLW Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) is a production unit under the Ministry of Railways. This was set up in collaboration with American Locomotive Company (ALCO), USA. UU In 1961 and the first locomotive was launched in 1964. This unit produces electronic diesel locomotives and DG games for Indian Railways and other customers in India and abroad. Subsequently, a contract was signed for the transfer of technology of locomotives controlled by microprocessor AC / AC of 4000 HP (GT 46 MAC) and passengers (GT 46 PAC) and the family of engines 710 with the electro motive division of GENERL MOTORS of USA for its manufacture in DLW. The production of these locomotives has already started and, therefore, DLW is the only manufacturer of diesel electric locomotives with ALCO and General Motors technologies in the world.
