Eenadu (Telugu: ఈనాడు) is a Telugu language newspaper in India which is the largest Telugu newspaper circulated in Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana, India. According to the India Readers Survey (IRS) Q1 2012, Eenadu ranks sixth among Indian language journals with a total readership (TR) of 5,906,000. [3] Eenadu ("This country," which has two meanings in Telugu) was founded by Indian media baron Ramoji Rao in 1974. The rapid expansion of Eenadu enabled it to diversify its portfolio by venturing into other markets such as finance and chit funds (Priya Foods), film production (Usha Kiran Films), distribution of films (Mayuri Films) and a group of television channels (ETV) All the companies are organized under the Ramoji Group There are several editions of Eenadu in the states Indians of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as well as cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Eenadu was launched from Visakhapatnam in 1974 by Ramoji Rao, a businessman with other successful companies: Priya Pickles and Margadarsi Chitfunds. At that time, Andhra Prabha, owned by the Indio Express Group, was the main regional newspaper.
Eenadu began with a print order of 4,000 copies, composed by hand and produced with a second hand press. But at the time he was admitted to the Office of Audit Circulations in 1976, his circulation was 48,000. In 1978, Eenadu surpassed the circulation of Andhra Prabha and in 1995, two other rivals Andhra Patrika and Udayam doubled, leaving Eenadu with more than 75% of the audited circulation of Telugu newspapers.
When Eenadu expanded to Hyderabad in 1975, it divided the city into target areas, recruited the servants three months earlier and gave away the free newspaper for a week. During the 1980s, technology allowed Eenadu to spread to larger areas in addition to major cities. Previously, it was difficult to handle even the three editions of the 1970s (Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Hyderabad) because the only communication facilities were telegram, telephone and teleprinter, which had a limited presence in rural Andhra Pradesh. But with the introduction of offset printing, photocomposition software and computers, Eenadu was able to launch issues in smaller cities like Tirupathi in 1982. A special section is published every day of the week.
