Pollution is the introduction of pollutants into the natural environment that cause adverse changes. Pollution can take the form of chemicals or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Contaminants, the components of pollution, can be foreign substances or energies or natural pollutants. Pollution is often classified as a point source or nonpoint pollution. Pollution prevention is a major global concern because of the harmful effects of pollution on a person's health and the environment. Environmental pollution comes in several forms, such as: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, etc...

Everyone is an interested party since we are all inhabitants of this unique mother earth. Each person can contribute something to advance the measures of mitigation of the environmental contamination. The protection of the environment means taking care of our resources and later for ourselves and guaranteeing a sustainable future for the coming generations will have a better environment.

Any action or inaction of any person with respect to their environment has an effect, whether good, neutral or bad, on the environment. Nature already provides our needs. Whatever we do turns to us. If we are friends of the earth, it will also be kind to us. By becoming aware and doing the right action, we choose to be part of the solution. What comes to mind now to serve as reminders are the following:
 Stop smoking or at least follow the "No Smoking" sign.
 Use unleaded gasoline in your cars.
 Keep your car properly maintained to keep it in good working order to avoid smoke emissions.
 Share a ride or participate in the car pool.
 Instead of using your cars, choose to walk or ride bikes whenever possible. With this environmentally friendly practice, you will also be healthier and happier to stay in shape.
 Never use open fires to remove debris.
 Adopt 3R of solid waste management: reduce, reuse and recycle. Inorganic materials such as metals, glass and plastic; Also organic materials such as paper, can be recovered and recycled. This takes into account that the proven solution to the problem of proper waste management (especially in third world countries) is proper disposal (in waste containers for collection and not in the street where it could fall into drains ) Recycling.
 Begin to compose brown leaves in your yard and green remains of your kitchen. It will reduce waste while improving your yard and garden floors.
 Reconnect with nature. Live green using the green energy supplied abundantly and freely by the wind and the sun. Hang your clothes to dry to minimize the use of gas or electricity from your dryers. Enjoy the fresh air from the open windows to lessen the use of the air conditioning system.
 Sponsor local food and goods. This will minimize the transport of goods and foods prepared with GMOs that use fuel from conventional energy sources.
 Use environmentally friendly or biodegradable materials instead of plastics that are composed of substances that are highly toxic to health.
 Create your green space. Value your garden. Plant more trees and put indoor plants in their homes. They clean the air, provide oxygen and embellish their surroundings. So, take care of them and protect them, especially the large trees around and in the forest, you protect yourself and your family, too.
 Have an adequate waste disposal system especially for toxic wastes
 Take good care of your pets and their waste.
 Never pull, drain or drain or dispose of any solid, liquid, or gaseous substances that may cause contamination to water, air, or earth.
 Do not cause loud noises and unwanted noises to avoid noise pollution.
 Do not throw garbage in public places. Campaigns against rubbish can educate the population.
 Industries must use fuel with lower sulfur content.
 Industries should regularly monitor their air emissions and take steps to ensure compliance with the prescribed emission standards.
 Industries must strictly follow government regulations applicable to pollution control.
 Organic waste must be dumped in places away from residential areas.
 Say a big "NO" to GMOs or genetically modified organisms. Genetically modified crops are not only bad for the environment, they require a massive amount of fungicides, pesticides and herbicides.
