OptSim is RSoft's award-winning software tool for the design and simulation of optical communication systems at the signal propagation level. With state-of-the-art simulation techniques, an easy-to-use graphical user interface and laboratory measurement instruments, OptSim provides unmatched precision and usability. The software has been commercially available since 1998 and is in use by leading engineers in academic and industrial organizations around the world.
OptiSystem is a simulation package of optical communication systems for the design, testing and optimization of links between optical networks. In modern communications systems, conventional cables are being replaced by optical fibers because they have a high bandwidth and therefore offer high data rates and are immune to noise. Tools like the opti system have been developed to design communication systems using fiber optic links. OptiSystem offers a wide range of applications, from CATV / WDM network design and SONET / SDH ring design to map design and transmitter, channel, amplifier and receiver design.
To walk hand in hand with the modern era, you need to have a proper understanding of the technologies in the trend. To improve your knowledge about trend tools and software, foundation courses have been introduced by EESPL. One of these foundation courses designed by EESPL is in the opti system. This basic course takes a total of 30 hours of time and you will have enough knowledge of the tool to design any communication model.
The course will include the introductory sessions and the knowledge of the toolboxes used in the opti system. The EESPL trainers are industry experts and will provide you with a deep insight into the tool. Learning the opti system will prove beneficial to you in the near future as it is a new tool introduced in the market and therefore your knowledge can get a number of jobs. Today, OptiSystem uses the MATLAB .dll files to evaluate the MATLAB script in the component to perform the calculations. Therefore, learning the Opti system will also learn the MATLAB software.
