The health industry collects large amounts of health data that, unfortunately, is not "mined" to uncover hidden information to make effective decisions. The discovery of hidden patterns and relationships often goes untapped. Advanced data mining techniques can help remedy this situation. This research has developed a prototype Smart Cardiac Disease Prediction System (IHDPS) using data mining techniques, namely Decision Trees, Naïve Bayes and Neural Network. The results show that each technique has its unique strength in achieving the objectives of the defined mining objectives. IHDPS can answer the complex "what if" questions that traditional decision support systems can not. Using medical profiles such as age, sex, blood pressure and blood sugar can predict the likelihood of patients having heart disease. It allows meaningful knowledge, eg. Patterns, relationships among medical factors related to heart disease, to be established. IHDPS is Web-based, easy-to-use, scalable, reliable and scalable.
