It is used to automatically close / open mobile platforms between train tracks. Normally the mobile platform connects the two platforms, through which passengers can walk on the platform to reach the next platform. When the train comes. The sensors are placed on both sides of the track. If the train reaches a sensor, the mobile platform will close automatically and allow the train to pass through the tracks and then when the train leaves the second sensor, the mobile platform will automatically open the 2 platforms. The microcontroller will detect the presence of trains through the use of red infrared sensors. So upon detecting the train in a path, the controller will pulse the motor step by step to close the mobile platform automatically.
