Q. Who are the beneficiaries of the SIWES industrial training?
A. The beneficiaries of the industrial training of SIWES include undergraduate students of the following courses in tertiary institutions:
farming
Engineering
Technology
Environmental
Science
Education
Medical Sciences and
Applied and Pure Sciences.

Q. What is the duration of the SIWES industrial training?
A. The duration of the industrial training of SIWES is as follows:
Four months (4 months) for Polytechnic and University Colleges
Six months (6 months) for college students.

Q. Who is financing SIWES?
A. SIWES is funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Q. How many institutions participate in the industrial training of SIWES?
A. The correct number of SIWES (Industrial Training) institutions is as follows:
Universities = 59
Polytechnic = 85
Colleges of Education = 62
TOTAL = 206

Q. Who are the SIWES industrial training operators?
A. The SIWES operators of industrial training are the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the coordinating bodies are (NUC, NCCE, NBTE), employers of labor and institutions.

Q. How many students have SIWES industrial training participated to date?
A. According to the latest report, the total number of students who participated in the SIWES industrial training of Universities, Polytechnic Colleges and Schools of Education at the end of 2007 was approximately 194,890.

Q. What steps do I have to take to start SIWES industrial training?
A. The answer is that you will take two practical steps to start the SIWES industrial training, which are:.
>>> One must have been accepted for placement in an organization recognized for its attachment during the industrial training of SIWES.
>>> One must have completed the necessary forms (ie form 002-005) and participate fully in the orientation before publication.

Q. In what organization can I do my SIWES industrial training?
A. Organizations that can make their SIWES industrial training can include government, parastatal, private institutions, including industries.

Q. What is the duration of the SIWES industrial training?
A. The duration of industrial training SIWES is 6 months in a stretch for undergraduate degree programs in universities. The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) will not pay any period of less than 6 months.

Q. How much does the Government pay students in SIWES industrial training?
A. The current subsidy approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria for the SIWES industrial training program is as follows:
Students - N2,500.00 per student per month.
Supervision - N 250.00 per student per month.

Q. Will there be an inspection in SIWES industrial training?
A. Yes, there will surely be inspections in SIWES industrial training.

Q. Who will carry out the inspection in the industrial training exercise of SIWES?
A. Following are the following officers who can and can inspect SIWES students:
>>> Officials of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
>>> Direction and officials
>>> Speakers of student institutions.
