A screw screw is a type of jack that is operated by turning a lead screw. The power screws are used to convert the rotary motion into translatory motion. A screw jack is an example of a power screw in which a small force applied in a horizontal plane is used to raise or lower a large load. The principle in which he works is similar to that of an inclined plane. The mechanical advantage of a threaded jack is the ratio of the load applied to the applied stress. The screw jack is operated by turning a lead screw. The height of the jack is adjusted by turning a lead screw and this adjustment can be made manually or by integrating an electric motor.

A screw or a head screw is operated by turning a lead screw. The height of the jack is adjusted by turning the feed screw. This can be done manually or by integrating an electric motor with it. The tricky part in the project may be finding a low speed engine that is capable of working at 12V. This is because the output of a car battery is 12V, and the electricity needed for the operation of the screw jack is taken from this battery. Another problem will be speed reduction. 12V motors usually operate at high speeds, probably at 4000 or 5300 rpm. Therefore, reducing this high rpm to the required lower rpm for operation of the screw jack without bulky attachments or power loss can be challenging. But still this is one of the easiest projects in mechanics.
