Induction motors are widely used in many residential, industrial, commercial and utility applications. Single-phase induction motors are widely used in domestic appliances and industrial control. A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) is a system for controlling the speed of a rotational or linear alternating current (AC) electric motor by controlling the frequency of the electric power supplied to the motor.
Variable speed drives had several limitations such as poor efficiencies, increased space, low speed, and so on. The power electronics transformed the drive into a smaller size, high efficiency and high reliability. The development of the speed control system using frequency control has been designed by combinations of PWM control circuit, controller circuit and H bridge inverter which makes the system simple, robust and compact open circuit PWM controller circuit for Control the single-phase induction motor and single-phase induction The motor can be driven at variable speed and frequency. But it is desirable to replace single-phase induction motor drives with three-phase induction motor drives in residential applications, agriculture, and low power industrial applications. Induction motors have performed the main part of many speed control systems and have found use in various industrial applications. Advances in microprocessor and power electronics give permission to implement modern techniques for induction machines such as field control. Then a modern system of speed Ac machine is equipped with adjustable frequency drive for speed control of electric machine. The speed of the machine machine is controlled by the conversion of fixed voltage and frequency to adjustable values on the side of the machine. The three-phase inverter circuit switches the DC input voltage to the three-phase variable frequency variable voltage output. The three-phase Ac is rectified in DC and then filtered to minimize the ripple current. This controlled DC is converted into pulses controlled by means of a voltage-to-frequency converter. These controlled pulses are fed to Inverter Bridge to produce variable voltage variable frequency output. Synchronization is necessary between the dosing system and the weaving machine and this can be done by using the variable variable voltage frequency method with the help of the AC drive.
