I wish to do a project at bsnl regarding call processing and analysing ss7 messages in gsm switching networks.is there any base paper for that? Is there any new idea that can be implemented in this topic? please help me if you can. thank you.

i would like to do my UG project in bsnl regarding call processing and analysing ss7 messages in gsm switching networks. i could find only the seperate base papers for call processing and ss7.. is there any IEEE papers?? if so please provide me with some new idea...... i wanna do some versatile application in my project....
