ABSTRACT
The world of Mobile and Internet technologies are rapidly converging. These new things put remarkable things in this era. The wireless communication in which its complex technologies to mature and converge before it becomes as prevalent and as functional as it wired counter part. Using WWW we can able to communicate with the client devices (e.g., personal computers) to provide any applications including the search engines. But WWW has been restricted to wire line connectivity, the mobile devices can be equipped with network interface. So that we can able to establish WWW services in any application fields.
This paper discusses with these in the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). This can be achieved by means of converging the wireless and mobile technology so that we can able to introduce a new device, which is used for transportations, which prevents the accidents, damages. Increasing the road safety is human and economic necessity. This system can prevent accident from happening; mitigate their consequences and aid in rescue if accident takes place.
1. INTRODUCTION
There has been increasing interest in the exploitation of advances in information technology in surface transportation systems. One trend is to exploit on-board sensing, computing and communication capabilities in vehicles, e.g., to augment and enhance existing intelligent transportation systems (ITS). There are different aspects of Mobile Internet technologies. One involves conveying the information to the mobile user. Today these mobile devices includes an array of cell phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), notebook computers. The other aspect is mobile Internet technology is the communication between the information repository and mobile devices. The wireless network providing this connectivity including analog and digital cellular systems. The Work is planned to compare various design options through simulation studies using realistic traffic models. An emerging trend is to equip vehicles with computing and communication capabilities, e.g., to augment and enhance existing intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
The device in the vehicle senses the smoke or sound or fire if the potential collision takes place and it informs the data and information to nearest, which prevents the accidents, damages. Increasing the road safety is human and economic necessity. This system can prevent accident from happening; mitigate their consequences and aid in rescue if accident takes place
2. Wireless Technologies for ITS
The world of Mobile and Internet technologies are rapidly converging.
Mobile Internet technologies comprise mobile devices, wireless networks, and wireless application environments. Devices and networks are typically not developed or maintained by the user, and these components are therefore selected from what vendors and providers have to offer. The application environment consists of various markup languages, communication protocols, and user interfaces. These elements, in conjunction with a mobile device and wireless network connectivity, are used to establish mobile Internet services. In turn, these services are used to access information by way of an application service provider (ASP).
Mobile devices using WAP services is established with a micro-browser. Micro-browsers are small software applications that have been optimized for thin-client devices. The approved WAP specifications incorporate two protocols at the application layer: the wireless session protocol (WSP) and the wireless transaction protocol (WTP). These protocols were designed to provide HTTP/1.1 functionality and incorporate new features that allow an efficient and reliable exchange of data over wireless data networks
