Micromax is an Indian consumer electronics company based in Gurugram, Haryana. The company was established as an IT software company operating in the domain of embedded devices; He later entered the mobile phone business. By 2014, Micromax sales surpassed Samsung's to become the maker of mobile phones that shipped most phones in a quarter in India. On January 24, 2014, Micromax became the first Indian mobile company to begin sales in Russia. As of April 10, 2016, Micromax announced a strategic alliance with digital payment company TranServ and Visa global payment technology to deliver next-generation payment solutions in India.
