The Remote Host Monitoring System is an Application Software, which help us to monitoring the clients remotely on LAN. The main advantage of this software is that an administrator can sit on server computer and can view the details about the client computers connected to it. In this system the server is provided with the privileges to monitor any of its client systems. The server will have the following facilities:
User Information: -
The server will be provided with the information of the client ip and the user who has logged into it. The client provides its ip the user name and the login time, which will be stored in the server and will be displayed to the server user on his request.
User Attendance: -
This gives the server the list of all the users that have logged on the client system. It provides the list of the client ip, user name login time logout time and the date
Client Processes: -
Using this facility the server can know the list of processes that are running at that instant in the client. The server will be provided with a list of all the processes that are running in a particular client ip is provided.
User commands: -
In this the server is provided with the list of all the commands that a particular user who has currently logged in the client system used..
User Desktop: -
The server has the facility to view the desktop of a particular user who has currently logged in a system.
Here we use the concepts of network to establish the connection between the server and the client. The communication is done using the concept of socket where the server will be listening for the client.
