Abstract
Making India to a global healthcare hub, it is not onlyabout bringing new technology but also we have to take care ofthe existing technology. The healthcare hub is the leading factorfor current economic growth of India. Human FactorEngineering (HFE) plays a vital role in this field. In medical orhealthcare, the field is named as Medical Human FactorEngineering (MHFE). This paper discusses on how MHFEresponsible for strengthen the Technology Management ofHospital, Hazards from device failure and use related, HumanFactors consideration in medical device use and case study on(Infusion Pumps) errors committed by users in each clinical area.Now the challenging issue for HFE is to design a properworkspace to avoid human errors and the four workspace designprinciples of Sanders & McCormick (1993) is also discussed. Thispaper deals with the Computer-aided-design (CAD) systems anda failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) technique withSimple Organizational Structure of HFE in designing theworkspace.

I. INTRODUCTION
This is a phrase used to help understand and optimize howpeople employ and interact with technology or one can sayHuman factors engineering is the science and practice ofachieving the best fit between people and the engineeredworlds within which they live and work [1][5][11], likePhysical, cognitive, and social ergonomics analysis of physicaland cognitive work Field, simulator, and laboratory behavioralresearch techniques, resolving selection, training, andequipment design issues. The objective of Human FactorsEngineering (HFE) is to minimize the potential for humanerror and accidents and encouraging the performance ofassigned activities as efficiently and effectively as possible.The task of the human factors engineer is to match the designof systems to the requirements and capabilities of their humanusers [1]-[2]. Human Factor Engineering in Medical field iscalled Medical Human Factor Engineering (MHFE). Human Factor Engineering help in strengthening theManagement Technology [7], to justify this Izabella Gierasfrom Beaumont Technology Usability Center (BTUC)conducted evaluation services to medical device and turned tothe principles of human factors engineering (HFE) to helpwith equipment evaluations. “HFE looks closely at the userdevicedesign interface,” she says. “Design is so important; theuser-device interface should be as intuitive to a user aspossible.” For example, on a defibrillator, if the on/off buttonis too close to the pacing buttons, it increases the likelihoodthat a caregiver may deliver an unintended shock to a patient.She discovered many resources on the topic, includingmaterials from the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society,AAMI, FDA, and other resources. Department staff beganapplying these principles to their work and building a case tobring a human factors engineer on staff. On the Result side-“The ultimate numbers, in terms of lives that have been saved,will never be known,” says Gieras. “Our case studies providesolid data of our success. Continued improvements in the HFEprogram will also focus on tracking medical device incidentreports on those devices that went through the human factorsgroup, to see how much it reduced adverse events.
”II. HUMAN FACTORS IN MEDICAL DEVICES
Use Human Factors Engineering research to evaluatemedical devices and investigate medical incidents, identifycritical safety initiatives and provide a short term solutions,collect data for future planning and improvements aiming foroptimal product design and quality. A Clinical Engineer is aprofessional who supports and advances patient care byapplying engineering and managerial skills to healthcaretechnology [5][6][10].More than the number who die from motor vehicleaccidents, breast cancer, or acquired immune deficiencysyndrome (AIDS). A proportion of these errors may notdirectly be attributed to the medical device itself; however, theimportance of incorporating human factors engineeringprinciples into the early design and use of these importantinterfaces is a key concern
