ASP.NET
 ASP stands for Active Server Pages
 ASP.NET is a server side scripting technology.
 ASP.NET is a Microsoft Technology.
 ASP.NET we can use any programming language based on the .NET Framework, such as C#, Jscript.NET, or VB.NET to create our Web applications.
 IIS (Internet Information Services) is Microsoft's Internet server.
 ASP.NET makes storing information to a database or self-describing XML document faster and easier.
 ASP.NET is a program that runs inside IIS.
 An ASP file is quite like an HTML file. It contains text, HTML tags and scripts, which are executed on the server.
• The difference between an HTML file and an ASP file is that an ASP file has the “.asp” extension.
SQL
 SQL (Structured Query Language) is used as database computer language designed for the retrieval and management of data in relational database management systems (RDBMS) database schema creation and modification, and database object access control management.
 A relational database stores data in tables (relations). A database is a collection of tables. A table consists a list of records - each record in a table has the same structure, each has a fixed number of "fields".

Introduction:-
Today computerization of office records has become an essential part of every office. Everybody wants accuracy, speed and proper record maintenance. This is possible only by computerization of the whole office routine wok. This project is also an attempt in this direction.
This project attempts to computerize the leave record management of MECRC employees. This software has been developed using Active Server Pages, Java Script keeping SQL Server 2000 database as its back end. The interface has been made online and user friendly. A user having normal knowledge about computer can operate this program from anywhere.
