The system can be applied to the adjacent feeders to compensate for imperfections in feed voltage and load in the main feeder and full compensation of feed voltage imperfections in the other feeders. In the proposed configuration, all converters are connected back to back on the DC side and share a common DC link capacitor. Therefore, energy can be transferred from a feeder to the adjacent feeders to compensate for sinking / swelling and disruption. The performance of the MC-UPQC as well as the adopted control algorithm is illustrated by the simulation. The results obtained in PSCAD / EMTDC in a two bus / two feeder system show the effectiveness of the proposed configuration.
