At present, digital life images are available everywhere and it is very easy to manipulate these digital images by using powerful editing software. Many people now add, trim, or delete important features of an image without leaving any proof of fake images. There are many techniques used to detect forgeries. One of the techniques most used is copy-move counterfeiting in which to copy a part of the image and paste it in the same image to hide some data or part of an image and another technique more commonly used is estag-analysis in which some message is Hidden within the image that is not easily possible to see with naked human eye. In this article we look for the problem of detecting the falsification and we describe the method of robust detection. This method successfully detects the forged part even when editing the copied area to combine it with the background of an image and even if the forged image is saved in the JPEG format.

Today, digital images are widely used around the world. From newspapers to magazines, fashion industry, in the medical field, science field, forensic laboratories, etc. depends on the digital images. The exchange of copy of several documents is a normal practice these days. Therefore, there is the possibility of falsification during the exchange of this type of documents. Forgery is the manipulation of an image to achieve a specific result. Image Counterfeiting is the process of making illegal changes to image information. Counterfeiting can occur in each application that is using the digital image because the user can change it using the editing tools available in the market.

Counterfeit detection techniques fall into two main categories: active and passive methods. The active method requires some prior information from an image, so such methods are not useful when handling images from unknown sources. This is the major drawback of the active method. . The passive method does not require any previous digital image information. The method works purely by analyzing the binary information of the digital image without any external information.

Digital images are the main source of information in today's digital world. Due to their ease of acquisition and storage, they are the fastest means of transmitting information. The images can be used as evidence for any event in the court of law. The images broadcast on any television news are accepted as the certificate of the veracity of that news. Digital images are being used in many applications ranging from military to medical diagnosis and from piece of art to user photography. Therefore, forensic digital imaging emerges as a growing need of society.
